He also proactively arranged a call to discuss the report afterwards, clarifying and expanding on issues identified in the report as well as answering any questions I had. As well as gaining an incredibly clear understanding of the condition of the property and knowing exactly what steps to prioritise before completion, I also have a great resource I'll be able to refer back to in the coming years to guide me on what to look out for and where to make further improvements to the property. I cannot recommend Yassar and the friendly team at Crown Surveyors enough!

I would recommend their services and use them again if necessary. ... read more Pricing Crown were in the mid range of the quotes I obtained. This is a good thing. The surveyor’s time is likely the most significant input to the survey. Firms competing hard on price have to find the extra margin somewhere and it’s probably by reducing the time allocated to the survey and post-survey report drafting Initial contact, quote, survey process Office manager Shazia took my details and those of the property. She immediately found the property listing and knew the location. Shazia explained the process, the services Crown offered and their pricing. Clear and to the point. I was asked if I had any concerns about the property and anything that should be checked during the survey. Crown arranged a date for the survey directly with the estate agent and provided regular updates via email. This included confirmation that the survey had gone ahead as planned and an indication of when I should expect the report. Report The report was clear and straightforward. Given the property was a purpose built flat there were a number of sections that did not apply. There was only limited inspection of the exterior of the property and shared areas, as expected. The best part, and one of the main reasons for my recommendation, was the post-report phone call with Yassar who conducted the survey. This was conducted at a time convenient to me with the minimum of fuss. We covered all the questions arising from the report and a few additional generated as a result of the discussion. The RICS report is a fairly set format so it was invaluable to hear directly from Yassar, reinforcing the findings he’d put in writing
